History:
American Idol is an American reality-singing competition program created by Simon Fuller and produced by 19 Entertainment, and distributed by FremantleMedia North America. It began airing on Fox on June 11, 2002, as an addition to the Idols format based on the British series Pop Idol and has since become one of the most successful shows in the history of American television. For an unprecedented eight consecutive years, from the 2003–04 television season through the 2010–11 season, either its performance or result show had been ranked number one in U.S. television ratings.

Indian Idol is an adaptation of the Pop Idol format. It started airing in India with the first season in 2004–2005 and followed that with second (2005–2006), third (2007) and fourth (2008–2009) seasons. In February 2010, Sony Entertainment Television announced the launch of the Fifth season.

and then Arab Idol is an Arabic television show based on the popular British show Pop Idol created by Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment and developed by Fremantle Media. The first season premiered on December 9, 2011,The show was broadcast worldwide on MBC 1 and simultaneously aired on LBC. The live shows are recorded in Beirut, Lebanon. The second season debuted on 8 March 2013.

and Now its time for Pakistan, Geo Tv proudly launch Pakistani Idol in upcoming days, I think it’s a good step if they are really want to promote real talent of Pakistan because in Pakistan a lot of talent but they cant get proper chance to show their talent and abilities even Pakistani Pop singers move from country to Bollywood , where they become Icon and prove their self like Rahat Fateh Ali, Atif Aslam, Amant Ali, Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali and etc…Its a big chance for youngsters of Pakistan whom are interested in Singing they should join Pakistani Idol and become fame personality of Global World and do something positive for the development of Pakistan.
