Living on the Edge: Sabse Himmat Wala Kon? (Living on the Edge: Who is the bravest?) was a Pakistani reality TV show. Sponsored by Mountain Dew, the series was seen Thursdays from 14 January 2010 on ARY Musik. The format of the show is based on MTV Roadies, a popular youth-based reality television show on MTV India. Like Roadies, the contestants of the show are given daring tasks which they have to complete. It has been very successful in Pakistan and has gained positive reviews from several critics.
The main competition was held in Waqar’s Den. This time during auditions, contestants not only had to face host Waqar Zaka but a Lioness as well. After the auditions, 19 contestants were chosen as participants. A pre-dare decided the final 12 contestants in which the competition would take place. The final 12 finalists will have to stay 10 days away from home at Waqar’s Den, where they have to face the dares given and go through each other’s politics to stay safe in the game. Only one will stand out of them all, and will be the winner of Rs. 2 Lacs Cash, the title of Mountain Dew Model Icon, and be crowned Pakistan’s Sabse Himmat Wala Insan.

Veet, the world’s leading brand in hair removal, held its acclaimed fashion event – Veet Celebration of Beauty on Saturday at the Expo Centre in Karachi.
Hosted by renowned Pakistani film and TV stars Aamina Sheikh and Azfar Rehman, the entertainment extravaganza consisted of a live fashion show, music and dance entertainment and a Beauty Awards segment which celebrated the best of Pakistani beauty. Indeed, this year’s Veet Celebration of Beauty was expanded in scale and scope to feature a diverse range of content in a singular interactive ceremony, a marked first for the beauty brand. The pink carpet of Veet Celebration of Beauty 2013 was hosted by TV personality Ayesha Omar.
The fashion showcase was divided into four unique segments, which celebrated Pakistani fashion through the ages as conceptualised and styled by Nabila and her team. The Vintage segment paid homage to the bygone era of classic Pakistani cinema and featured Élan by Khadijah Shah who presented her collection along with celebrity showstopper Zeba Bakhtiar. The Retro segment paid tribute to the roaring ‘70s and showcased the fashion stylings of designer Sadaf Malaterre, whose collection, aptly complemented by vivacious make-up and styling, portrayed the psychedelic nature of the era. The segment was closed by celebrity showstopper and Lollywood actress Sana Fakhar walking the ramp. For the Pop segment, designer Ali Xeeshan presented his disco inspired fashion collection along with celebrity showstopper Nadia Hussain, providing a befitting ode to the glamorous and over-the-top ‘80s. The final fashion segment of the day titled Eclectic was presented by design label Sana Safinaz and featured celebrity showstopper Humaima Malick. The segment encapsulated the present, depicting the fashion and aesthetic style of the modern Pakistani woman. Veet Celebration of Beauty also featured music and dance performances, including numbers by Ali Azmat and Zoe Viccaji and dance performances by Mehwish Hayat and Sara Loren.
Reckitt Benckiser Marketing Director Burhan Khan said, “Veet as a brand has always strongly supported Pakistan’s beauty industry and we are pleased to see that the Veet Celebration of Beauty platform has only grown in popularity with time.”

Plot Outline:
Set in a quiet California suburban town. Torn tells the story of two families drawn together in tragedy and then ripped apart through prejudice and fear. Maryam Munsif, an upper-middle class Pakistani immigrant, and Lea Pelletier, a working-class single mom, form a deep bond after their teenage sons are killed when a gas line ruptures, causing an explosion at a local shopping mall. But when the police find evidence that a bomb caused the explosion, Maryam’s Muslim son becomes the prime suspect, and their relationship and lives are stretched to the breaking point.
